Creation Museum II

The Flood - Narrations taken from Genesis 6,7,8 - KJV

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood…

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, They went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened…

And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

…And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry. And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.

And God spake unto Noah, saying,

Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him: Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Creation Museum

-sunday evening-

… i miss updating my blog, but i think its been good for me to be away from a computer for a few days. :) i arrived here in the US very, very tired… mostly emotionally. i don’t think i have fully recovered… but thank God I think i’m getting there. all the wedding stuff is over and we can focus on other things. this afternoon was the first afternoon for several weeks that i had time alone with (part of) my family and NO ONE ELSE. most of us slept… i read 2 books straight and then took a short but sweet nap. i wasn’t planning to go to the youth party tonight but later changed my mind because of how rested i felt. i’m glad i went and i very much enjoyed the time with other peeps. i think a few out there may agree, since my elation and enjoyment of the evening was quite obvious at times. the volleyball was great… the kind where i could really express my emotions and have everyone fussing about Sandra’s Screaming Syndrome.

-this morning-

anyway… i now have a computer and access to internet, so for the last several hours i have been working on getting a post done. The reason it’s been taking to long is because this computer i am using is stashed full of viruses and unnecessary programs and it is just so very slow. i finally gave up trying to upload pictures last night because it kept locking up on me and went to bed around 1 this morning. now i just finished running a program and trying to rid the machine of some of its viruses and its dong a tad better. so i shall try and see how many pictures i can share with you between hanging out wash loads.

-this afternoon-

i guess i’ll start with pictures of our time with Willards a week ago today. My dear friend Judith was there at the museum and surprised me thoroughly. I suspected nothing and of course, i screamed. I’m so glad we got to spend some time together, although we didn’t get much talking done. :)

soon after the shock of seeing Judith at the Creation Museum:

and one of Andrea’s friends works there (I would have sung in a children’s choir with Sarah several years ago), so i wasn’t the only one feeling blessed with the presence of a dear friend:

One of the first things we did was watch Men In White in the theatre. We were sitting there waiting for the movie to begin, and Aaron and Andrea did a quick pose for me. If you know these Mast kids, this picture will prolly make you laugh, as it did me. Its so cute!!! Arlynn’s expression in the back adds to it to, and i just love it. Excuse the picture quality… i wasn’t prepared for the sudden pose, swiveled around quickly to capture it, and thus my hand was not steady.

after the movie we went to Noah’s cafe for a bite to eat, before exploring the rest of the museum (this is straight for the camera; the lighting throughout the museum was amazing and so much fun to shoot in!):

Heading in through… in winding pathways surrounded by high rock walls and beautiful soft, warm light:

some of the prophets and men of God that were made so well and looked amazingly real (greenish veins protruding from their hairy hands and everything!)…

Josiah:

Moses:

King David the singer, poet, and musician (i can’t wait to meet him):

the Garden of Eden was def. my favourite part of the whole museum. it was awesome!! not like i’ve imagined the actual Garden to have looked like, but they obviously put a lot of work into it! this is the only picture i will add a larger version to (click on it), since it it takes too long to link them all. excuse the tourists in the pic:

Adam calmly feeding the animals. (i think its funny that a penguin was standing there among the plants)

ok so i have many more pictures but my aunt is leaving for the arena soon and my siblings and i wanna go watch the cowboys and cowgirls riding! this means… even MORE pictures to fill up computers. lol.

-this evening-

ugh, the computer locked up just as i was trying to finish up and so i didn’t get to post this after all. so here are the rest!

a series of different pictures i took of Adam & Eve. i think the CM peeps did a great job in portraying the peaceful and joyful hours A & E must have shared together in the garden before they sinned:

In His Presence:

“The woman took of the fruit and did eat, and also gave to her husband with her and he did eat. ” -Genesis 3:6

Bitter Tears

“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until  you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” -Genesis 3:17-19

Creation Museum II coming later.

PA

we are in PA and oh its so good to be here! Our flights were pretty much uneventful and we landed here in Pittsburgh around midnight. One of the things i enjoy about flying is getting to know the person beside you. On the flight from ES to Atlanta I sat beside a young lady from ES who lives in NY. I know it was God’s doing in having us sit beside each other, because i had prayed about it before hand.  She had a very interesting life story and it was a blessing to me to be able to talk with her and share the Gospel. And to you, Marta, if you ever happen to get around to reading my blog and read this, please remember I am praying for you! I doubt I will ever forget you.

OK so I’m staying here at Harlan’s with 3 of my siblings. Its been such a riot. Kenny is loving it around here and is constantly on the go. Its really cute cause i don’t remember seeing him so happy before. He jumps on the trampoline for hours and bikes all over the place. LOL.

The internet service here is very slow…. else i would upload pics. But I’ll prolly have to wait till i’m at Nelson’s. Oh yes and Vanessa and Nelson are living around here now. Its kinda weird but not as weird as i had thought it would be. Tonight we are having a welcoming party and i really should go help Esther with preps. I’ve been way too lazy. It feels so good but i’m starting to feel a bit guilty. ;)

y’all take care now. behave.

ps. tomorrow we go to the Creation museum with Willards and its gonna be so much fun!!

GO

I feel like Brendon now… “go, go, go” is what he chants when he knows his daddy is leaving and doesn’t wanna stay behind. Well, my siblings and I are here standing around and waiting till Mom has the last few details taken care of. (yay for moms!) We’ve been ready for the last hour or so and it is sure wearing on my patience. I just wanna GO! The day has finally arrived… its so hard to believe. I am excited, but not as much as i will be once we’re standing around in the airport. ;) I have my camera along… battery charged, etc. All ready to shoot away! i can hardly wait. BTW i just found out why my ISO kept shooting up… it was on Auto. I didn’t realize that the Auto ISO is a different mode than just manually changing my ISO. Over Vanessa’s wedding i was very frustrated with it, because i kept lowering it and when i looked at the picture’s info, the ISO was usually was up to 1600 or over… giving me very grainy pictures.  SO DISGUSTING. But I finally found where the Auto ISO can be turned off and am now sighing with relief.

I have been trying to set a goal for myself, as to how many pictures i want to complete in these two months. But I really have no idea. 1,500 keepers seem almost too high, and yet it doesn’t seem like much. I guess I’ll just leave it and see what i come up with.

OK……… we’re still standing around here… most of my siblings are pacing; its kinda funny. :P

y’all take care. sandra can hardly sit still anymore so she’ll prolly go join her sibs in pacing the livingroom. . .
